Ron— I don't see how it is possible to fit a 10lb. Propane cylinder in the standard C34 MKI white starboard/plastic box (under helm seat) even with the taller retrofitted blue lid kit. It is made for a (1 gallon) 4lb.-5 lb.  cylinder. Do you have a photo?

Logo-hope you don't have "muscle memory" for the old way, and accidentally fill fuel and water in the wrong tanks. ;-)

I am confused by photo. On my 1990, my diesel fill is on the Port side and water fill(s) are on Starboard.  Is yours the same?

You can repaint the tanks however, check the manufacturing date stamp on the tank. They are only allowed to fill them if the tank is less than 12-years old.

Yes that CD tank will work but you may also need the retrofit locker lid, which sold by CD as well.

As Alex said, changing the shower drain to PEX (or just replacing the hose at all) is a PIA to access and replace. If you don't have to do it, I wouldn't. Make sure you have a strainer on in the head to clean out debris.  I did change all of my hot water to PEX because the existing hose and hose clamps were not ideal and prone to possible leakage when heated. I also installed a temperature regulator/mixing valve to control hot water temp. I kept the regular nylon reenforced hoses on the cool water lines. Unfortunately I have a lot of stuff going on under the sink with my Echo Charger and negative busbar living under there behind the door as well. Very tight!

My panel is not OEM but for illustration purposes to show how "today's" modern panels have the AC portion covered.

For a cover, you can go with something as simple as a Tupperware type container or glue ip something out o plexiglass or even wood. Anything to protect you from shocks or it accidentally shorting out.

Not to throw shade, but for safety, I would put a "protective cover" on the backside of your distribution panel on the AC side!

I assume Ron is suggesting using an "infrared thermometer" to measures heat, NOT a "heat gun" that creates heat. Both are good inexpensive tools to have onboard.

Whether you use the spray glue or sticky back insulation product, you should ALSO USE screws and washers. Also, I disagree with Ron regarding 1-1/4 inch thick. You will have difficulty fitting that thick of insulation in several locations inside the box—particularly on the removable stairs and opening door next to the alternator.

Search our website using term "Soundown".
Defender sells "Soundown" which requires spray glue to install. West Marine's product is a similar make-up but it is peel and stick. Both come in a variety of thicknesses. Soundown comes in kits so sizing/measuring your space requirement is important. You may need 1-1/2 kits. Or a couple different thicknesses depending whether you are covering engine room doors , etc.  I believe you can buy the West Marine product in individual squares(?). Both work.
