Saw this on the Sailing Anarchy site, passing it on.
I was wondering this week why all the currents around the PNW were going so badly awry. Come to find out, Garmin chartplotter antennas have a rollover glitch that ocurred last weekend. Check your system time and date. If you're back 20 years to Jan 5/6 1990 you'll need to switch over your source from Garmin to NMEA. It's easy-- once you know the deal. Handhelds don't seem to be affected.
Go to your menu.
Select GPS
Change source from Garmin to NMEA
Problem solved.
