First of all welcome, not trying to scare you off.  I log on an average of 3 times a day, every time I do it seems there are 3-10 guests also viewing.  The C34IA Officer's are trying to determine why we have so many guests.

Would you please send me a note saying why you are a guest.  Nothing fancy, could be as simple as "I'm a member, but I lost my password and don't want to ask for another"  or "boat shopping just looking for info".

If a common theme or reason emerges that we can address, we will make all attempts to do so.

Thanks,
Ken Juul

Hi Ken,
I am a member but sometimes I access the site from another computer without logging in just to check what's new and I suspect that others may be doing the same. Also, if you clear your cookies, it also clears your permanent log in and you would come in as a guest untill you re-log in.

A few ideas   :D

I was a guest for some time before I actually became a 34 owner (Then I joined).
I clean out my cookies from time to time, and so probably log on as a guest for awhile before I realize I should go through the process again.  For me, its kind of a pain--forgetting my password and all that.

A modest suggestion to fellow cookie cleaners (I do it daily using disk cleanup as well).  Use Mozilla Firefox as your browser.  The tools dropdown lets you clean out everything but still keep your passwords intact.  So when you open up this site, your user name and password will be waiting for you like an old friend to just click the login button.  It is a very friendly browser and understands (unlike MS Explorer) that some folks like to do their best to keep the illusion that they have some privacy.

One of the best features of Firefox is it's plugin/add-on architecture.

If you regularly clear your cookies I'd suggest using
the add-on called CookieSafe. It lets you manage your cookies.
Every time I quit Firefox it clears all of the cookies I may have
acquired while surfing but keeps cookies that I've told it were ok.

It has loads of other features as well.

Get FireFox here ->  http://getfirefox.com/
&  Here's cookie safe:
