Oh for sure, kinda hard to stand on water when doing a test fit  :D
Overall length only went up by a foot believe it or not. From stem to tip of sprit is about 21".

I am liking the flush "deck" and side "skirts".  That really dresses it up.  Thanks for the uodate photos.

Yes, the top braces have been removed now that the side skirts are on, what's still missing is the anchor roller setup and then a plate to cap it from the bottom.

A few questions: How is it secured to the hull/deck? Are you going to have a bobstay? And, have you calculated an overall weight?

It's secured with 2 bolts on either side, 3 on the top plus the stem itself. No bobstay and at the moment no idea of weight, my guess around 50lbs

A few more pics, some of them might explain some questions.

Test fit from on the boat went well today, working out what modifications I will need to make to the pulpit.

Tht second lower pulpit tube is going to make an awesome spot to mount a dolphin watching seat ;-)

Yep, the top loop is getting removed and side rails changed a bit. There will be nothing to catch any sheets or the sail itself that way.

And slightly off topic but related, here's my new north sails 3Di Genoa. It's going to get test fit on Tuesday, I'll get pics of it hoisted on here.

Is this one of the new sails they build on a 3D jig to get the form and then run "tape" to keep the stretch down?

Yes it is, check out the north sails video of how they're made, super cool. They keep their shape far longer and are more durable than traditional panel sawn Dacron sales. That's what I was told anyway, time will tell.

It is interesting how high the draft reducing foam strips are.  It seems they are often much lower on the luff.
