Thanks for all the input.  I am going to put a S2 mantus swivel in the system.  Not going to change my chain or rode as I am very pleased with the system I use.
Anchoring is like fishing, it is all in how you set the hook.  Running to a marine is not an option or desired.
Thanks,
Paul

You might try Torresen in Muskegon.  The # 1 231 759 8596  If you call them, ask to be put through to the shop.  They have them in the shop but not the store.  Not sure about price.

Hi Dave, the minor problem that i am trying to solve is:  When I pull up the anchor(by hand) it wants to spin when it clears the water.  I thought maybe a swivel would solve this problem.
Stay warm.
Thanks,
Paul

Thinking about putting a mantus swivel on my 5/16 chain and 32lb bruce anchor.  The rep at mantus recommended the S1.
Appreciate any thoughts about the product and size.
Thanks,
Paul

Jon, could you post your info.  My smart gauge shows an error of 03. I replaced my solar panel controller with a genasun GV-10.  I think it is trying to equalize my batteries, but not enough sun shine here in Michigan.  Appreciate your thoughts.

My stemmed had a backing plate in the shape of a V(filled in) with matching holes.  I think this was original equipment.   I tend to think along the same lines as Dave, that  the crack  may have been caused or exacerbated by inadequate forestay tension.

Thanks Mick, I have been away.  I was going to order a Smartgauge before I left. Glad that I held off.  The SG200 is not available yet.  The original Smartgauge sell for more than the new SG200 unless you want to monitor more than 1 battery back.  The additional feature that I like that it shows the amps going out/in. I would be interested in hearing from those of you who have a smartgauige and would you replace it with the new one?
Thanks,
Paul

I am going to install a smartgauge. I have 4 golf cart batteries wired in series-parallel.  Does the positive wire have to run to each positive post on the 4 batteries and the negative wire run to each negative post.  Can I run the positive wire to one positive post and also do the negative the same way on the opposite corners.  The diagram on Balmar's website shows 3 separate batteries, no battery wiring.
Thanks for any help.

Jim, I replaced my anchor light with an LED light from marine beam.com
Replaced this 3yrs ago and have not experienced any interference with my radio.  I also have replaced all my interior lights with LED lights, except for the V-berth.

The electric Facet pump also has a filter in it.  Can be removed and cleaned or can be replaced.

PS:  Have you checked the pick up tube that goes into the tank.  Much has been written about this in past posts.

Installed the new thermostat, ran new wire, relocated the location of the thermostat  and used the black 500ohm resistor.   All is good.
Thanks for the help.

Thank you!! J_Sail.  This is the info I received from Suremarine.  Hopefully this clears it up for others that participated in this post.  A clear concise explanation does not muddy up the waters.
Thanks,
Paul

Noah, I have a Nova Kool.  I do not know if the compressors are the same or not.  The info Ken provided does not pertain to my reefer.  SureMarine  send me the thermostat and resistors with an explanation.  I will be installing it tomorrow with the same resistor that was in the thermostat line but the  new one.  The old one was tested and was OK.  I will check to see if the fan runs faster if you change to a higher resistor.  Just for my own interest.  Dave's earlier post was similar to Suremarine's info.
Thanks,
Paul
