Hi Def Radar, AyeTides,  Windfinder, SailFlow. I also have a web page that post real time data from a local research bouy, http://po.msrc.sunysb.edu/GSB/B1RT.html
Very helpful if you have something like this close to your marina.

Thanks to previous posts and suggestions I was able to remove the exterior teak from the boat. I have stripped all the old finish from the wood and I am presently completing the process of fine sanding it to get a smoother surface. I plan on applying multiple coats of natural cetol followed by a few coats of cetol gloss.  Does the bare teak require a stain before applying the finish? If so, does anyone have a suggestion as to what stain to use?

Most gas connections have "reverse threads" requiring you too turn in an opposite direction to tighten and loosen. Possibly the male/ female connection is not designed for gas connection?

I need to do some work on my cowl vents also. I have been hesitant to start the project because I am unsure of how to remove them. Would someone please enlighten me on how they come off.

Thanks Ted. I will begin my search there.  We have owned the boat for 6 months now and I discover something new about it everyday.  The resources and help on this web site and the association has been very helpful.  I will check that the junction box is waterproof.

Main Message Board / Wind Instrument Wiring
June 08, 2011, 06:57:09 PM
We had our local marina step the mast and reconnect the nav lights and radar wiring prior to launching a few weeks ago.  I was perplexed when I discovered an additional wire coming out of the bottom of the mast.  The wires were bare at the end and apparently had been connected to something.  It wasn't until I noticed that the Wind Instruments did not work that the answer became apparent.  The installation manual suggests the use of a junction box to join the mast head wiring to the instrument display wiring.  Anyone care to suggest a logical place to begin my search for the junction box?
