My installation of Shamrocks new wheelpilot is complete.  I'm very happy with the performance, so thought I'd post it.  To have it work in the windvane mode with my old ST70 wind instrument had to add a D244 junction box, ST1 to STng converter E22158 and Backbone cable A06033.  I felt the instructions were lacking.  Once I started assembling, wiring and plugging in everything it was very simple and easy.

Some notes on the picture.  1 is a pvc pipe hung on closet rod hardware to protect the sensor core  2 is the seatalk converter.

Nice installation Jim.  What deviation do you get after sea trial?
also, how do you get power to the wheel?

The unit keeps learning the deviation as it's used.  Short answer a very few degrees.  Holds course great.  Unlike my st4000+ that I was never able to dial in.  The chart plotter track line is straight.  Did I mention that it's a lot quieter.

Cord (supplied in the wheelpilot kit) is run from the control unit to the wheel drive.
