1996 non skid repair advice

I have a couple area's where the grey, diamond shaped non skid is failing.  Any suggestions on product and repair.

Small areas or large? A guy in our marina has repaired the small areas using thick gel coat and then using a file to match the cross hatch pattern. This will not work on large areas or on the non skid in the cockpit. For larger areas you can buy the mold from Gibco. For really large areas hmmm...

We used thickened gel coat and a file, and lots of patience.  We then touched up the gray with Voodoo Canadian Gray model paint per Ron's recommendation.  Our major wear area was in front of the main hatch, so we then put down fitted sections of DryDeck and eliminated any further wear and tear in that area.  Hope this helps.
