Has anyone ever used the product called G Flex? I helped a guy rebedd his keel stub with it, remarkable stuff, it is a two part sealent will never set so hard it can crack, they swear by it in the Marina here

I've used G-flex before. It is a slightly flexible epoxy- not really a sealant. It is intended to be used for epoxy repairs where there might be some flex in the joint. WEST describes the example of repairing a thin-skinned kayak as an appropriate usage. I use it thickened for filling small holes in the deck- not really what it was intended for, but it works. One concern I would have about using it for keel bedding is that it may never come off. That's fine as long as your repair doesn't leak when you're done. If it does, the fix seems really scary to think about..

Friend of mine used it for the keel, keel stub seam on his Pearson.  Unsuccessful repair, it cracked.

OK now I know, aint gonna tell my friend about the negative, he is in the water and happy, am curious about what it will look like in the fall haulout, the marina at port superior in Bayfield WI is huge, all the boat mechanics really rave about the stuff and its flexibility, well time will tell.  Thanks for the feedback
