When I hit water pressure switch, the new water pump works fine and plenty of water comes out at the head sink but the galley sink is as dry as dust; not even a little hissing, nothing, nada, zero. So I checked under the galley sink and all looks ok but still no water at the galley sink...no hot or cold. What possibly could be wrong? cliff c34 #1022, 1990

Did it work properly before the new pump was installed?  Is the head hot water hot? Do your supply valves work and are they turned to the ON position? Make sure you have installed the pump so that it supplies water to both head and galley, i.e., before any branching. If you have a pressure tank, make sure it, too, is installed before any branching.

Cliff,

Just this spreing, I filled my water tanks and turned on the pump, only to get barely a trickle out of the Galley sink.  Head ran fine.

I took the aerator off the galley sink, and found a lot of tiny particles that were not trapped by the inline strainer, and were clogging the back side of the aerator.  Turned on the faucet without the aerator in place, and it ran fine . . . .

I'd be surprised if it was the same problem (dry as dust versus almost no flow - but evidence of it), but it is worth the 30 seconds to check out.

I installed the new pump last year and it ran fine. This was just when I put the boat in the water this year. I did put a new aerator on last year and maybe its clogged. I will pull that off and see. Seems strange, doesn't it? Thanks. Cliff, c34 #1022, 1990

Now that I think about it, I did have water at the head sink but it did not get hot even after the engine ran for a while. I'll go back down this am and check it out again. Cliff c34, 1022, 1990

I noticed on our last trip that I had very little hot water pressure from the gally faucet. a trickel. Today I went out and checked it out. Seems the metal tube that runs up from where the water heater hose connects up into the faucet itself had "calciumed up inside" I ran a wire up through it and opened it up. It was like salt coming out. When I reattached it ran with a full stream.
on my boat #570 the line comes out the water heater and splits into 2. One for the gally and one for the head.Easily seen opening the door by the water heater

Cliff : You've got a stoppage in both of your lines to the galley faucet.  Pull out the drawer under the sink and see if you can trouble shoot it and find the stoppage.  If not, then you'll have to drill out the plugs and remove the the drawer frame so you can better get at the lines up to the faucet.  As Terry mentioned it could be deposits, or even crimped lines?   :cry4`
