Installing a generator

I am thinking of installing a generator on my C 34 MK II. Has anyone else done this? How did you go about finding someone to do the work? Did you add another diesel tank? Where did you put it (my dealer suggests the port lazerette)? Did it affect the weight distribution of the vessel? :confused: [/LIST]

Panda has a new lightweight 4KW one, but pretty expensive ($6K!)  I have used a Seapower 5KW system which outputs 5KW 110 vac at 800 engine rpm - idle speed.  Its a replacement high output alternator with electronic circuitry which weighs about 50 lbs total and takes up only 1 cubic foot of space.  I have a used one if you are interested.
