Deck Hold-down Padeye on Mast

Does anyone know the size of the deck hold-down padeye that is screwed to the mast track for the below deck turn-buckle?

Accurate dimensions or specific manufacturer and part number would be great.  Hole centers, wire stock diameter, and load rating are what I would assume to be the critical info.  I'm assuming the base plate is 3/4" or 5/8" wide, and the padeye is of welded construction.

P.S.- As of Saturday, I could not locate it on the mast or boat.  I am set to launch May 8th.  I am in contact with previous owner to locate this part.

Ron, thanks for the reply, but thankfully the issue has been resolved.

The previous owner was kind enough to go to the boat (he lives much closer to it than me) and look for the padeye.  He found it in a bag buried in a box of rigging from the fall haul-out.  I just didn't look enough.

I did end up phoning the Catalina factory later on the day of my first post.  I first spoke to the Parts Dept; they were not familiar with the padeye I was describing nor did they think they stocked it.  Parts then transfered me to a tech guy named Kent.  I left a message with two phone numbers and the reason for my call, but no call back from Kent yet.

Now that I have the critical padeye in my possession, I will add the dimensions and details to this post (maybe even a photo).  This should be of interest to most C34 owners (the keel steppers, at least).

On a side note - this has been expressed many times on this board already: owner support is a big reason why I chose to buy a C34 and this website is a major part of that support.  Case in point: Saturday I checked my prop shaft for dimples under the coupling set screws.  My boat has a replacement 316SS shaft, and there were no dimples for the set screws.  So, I plugged in the drill, chucked my best cobalt bit, and dimpled the suckers.  Now, I won't be wondering if the shaft is going to exit the boat while in hard reverse.

If the shaft coupling separates, the propellor and shaft should not leave the boat, as the zinc should prevent the shaft from passing through the cutless bearing.  But it can be disconcerting to lose reverse thrust, say while approaching the dock with a strong following wind.  Ask me how I know all this!  dp

As promised, here are the specs for the mast tie-down padeye:

Welded stainless steel construction, alloy unknown
No markings, looks to be custom made
Design is symmetrical
Base: .75" x 3.25" x .08" approx. thick
(2) 13/32" diameter holes on 2.38" centers
Loop: 5/16" diameter wire, U-shaped, welded to base
loop inside dim. - 3/4" wide x 1-1/4" tall

That should be enough to get one made in a pinch.  I never received a call back from Kent at Catalina.

Ron - thanks for bringing up the point about lacing wire.  The set screws were wired before I started, and they are after.

This talk of the zinc hitting the strut or the prop (3-blade MaxProp, in my case!) hitting the rudder isn't the sort of adventure I'm looking for.
