My 1986 Table wiggles bad....is there a ring or something missing....or is it just a challenge to not spill the wine?

There are two places to adjust your table, one directly under neath where the post enters the table. Tighten this nut well. Then if it still wiggles, the set screw at the base is too short. Remove the tightening knob and purchase a new stainless bolt of the same width about 2 1/2 inches long. Crank this with a wrench, and it will secure the table. I had this problem, apparently the bolt somehow got too short, (maybe it screwed itself too far into the knob?) Any way, you could do gymnastics on my table now. You just need the wrench when you want to loosen it for lowering>>:)

You didn't say where the "wiggle" is coming from.  My table was fine until one day the clamp mechanism broke.  No amount of tightening would improve stability of the table.  I had to send the post (the entire assembly) to an outfit in Florida, and they repaired it and shipped it back.

If this is your situation, ping me and I will send you the contact info.  But I am away from home right now, I won't be home to dig out my files until 20 Apr.
