Specs sheet for MK I

The spec sheet from the Mark I brosure is much less detailed than for the MK II. Is a better one available?

If you mean the information on the "flyers," the colored brochures, I agree that it seems that the newer ones have more lines of information.

I was curious as to the Mk I's tankage capacities, fuel and water and height above the water line of the tall rig mast.

The fuel is 23 gallons.

Water is 28 in the starboard tank, 43 in the aft tank, plus the 6 in the hot water heater.  Various production models had forward and starboard water tanks.  Al Watson's #55 (now Dave Commando's boat) had a forward and starboard tank.  Ours is aft and starboard.  I think the newver boats have forward tanks, too, but don't know for sure.

The best place for this information is right on the main home page of the website, MANUALS.  It's all there, I beleive.  The brochures rarely had that kind of detailed information.

My mast height (less VHF stick) is around 55 feet, the tall rig is 2 or 3 feet higher.

My Mk I std mast is 49' 6" long and step is something like 8" to 12" below water line, so results in a little less than 49' above water line. Think tall rig 2' higher.

The Tall rig has a mast hieght of 50 ft. from the waterline to the masthead per specs provided by Catalina for a 1986 TallRig. Rated sail area w/100%foretrianlge on the tall rig is 554 sq. ft.

The forward tank in our '86 is 35 gallons. Also Ron is the last person I would want to questions, but the spec I have on my tall rig is 55'. However I have never measured

Ron had better be right about mast height. The Cape May bridge is listed at 50 feet at high tide.  I went under it on a rising tide with a tall rig last summer and had about 3 feet clearance.  If I have 55 feet from waterline to mast top, I would be in big trouble right now.
