Hull Id

I am new to the board and juat bought a 1986 c34 I have a few questons; I have a keel steped mast and haven't seen anyothers like that and my electrial panel is black and not gold. The main question i have is how do i know what the hull ID number is as far as the build number.

PS  we have an 86 with a keel stepped mast.  Use the Find feature on the message board, type in keep stepped and you'll see that we have discussed this in the past.

The black panels were usually found on the newer boats, ours is tan.  Could be a PO swapped it out.

Congrats on the new boat and welcome to the board. The Hull Identification Number (HIN) should be stamped into the gelcoat on the upper starboard side of the stern, just below the rubrail.  Mine is CTYP0688A888 and yours should look something like it.  It identifies the make, serial number and year and month of manufacture Your HIN should be in some of the paperwork for the purchase/financing/insurance/documenting/registering of your boat.

I found it.. Thanks for all the help... My build date is May of 86 and the hull number is 65. It is a keel stepped mast.
