After 17 years my Grohe faucet/shower handle is shot. Catalina now used some other brand. Any idea if a new one can be obtained with a water saving cutoff switch on the handle? Thanks much

A search on Grohe has a number of hits, including:  http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,938.0.html

I also did a search on shutoff and found this:  http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,1527.0.html

The part # for the assembly is included.

Since the picture disappeared from my earlier post, here's the shutoff part.

As usual, you would have saved me hours of work had I posted earlier. Is that part number Grohe or Home Depot? Thanks

Cliff, call "Catalina Direct"; they have the replacements (they found them for me a few years ago).

Cliff : Try calling Boat US special orders.  They used to stock Grohe shower handles/hoses/cutoffs in the early/mid 1990s.  They looked up those parts in their old catalogs and special ordered them for me.
You can also call Grohe at (630)582-7711.  A few thoughts.

I would take the time now to investigate Home Depot, Lowes or any plumbing store for the type fixture you might want to upgrade to. This is an ideal time to do so. Just find one that will fit the water hose fitting, be able to sit in the faucet socket and go from there. You may be able to eliminate the turn off switch adapter by finding a fixture that already incorporates that. Guys : If you want to change or want to add to your present Grohe faucet, I'd recommend that you take the fixture with you to Lowe's, Home Depot or a plumbing store.
I believe that the threads are metric!!  A thought.
