SEACRECY

I don't use the fridge on short day trips with friends and know that a couple of bags of ice cools down beverages way faster than the fridge does anyway. However, I didn't like the amount of room a standard cooler takes up under the main salon table (or anywhere else for that matter).

Igloo makes a cooler called the "Ice CUBE" that is 13x13x13 that I discovered fits PERFECTLY in the space under the chart table (after removal of the teak cushion-holder slat). In fact, there's just enough snugness against the cooler between the chart table support to aft and the bench cushion forward that I don't need a bungee or other restraining device to keep the cooler from sliding out when heeling to starboard. It's like it was custom-made to fit in that spot on a C34.

Before you run out and buy an Ice CUBE (listed for $30 online, but I got mine for $19.99 at a military base exchange) be forewarned that I have a '92 MkI and I don't know if that space is different in the MkII's.
