I just replaced a 20 y.o. Statpower Truecharge 40 with a Xantrex Truecharge 20+. I think that these are basically the same unit but a name and color change after Xantrex took over Statpower. Don't know details...
My question is related to the temp sensor. I tried in vain to drag the new temp sensor through the channel followed by the old sensor by taping it to the old one and pulling. No way.
I kept thinking that they are probably interchangeable.
Anyone know if it is fine to just use the old sensor. The new one looks fancier but not sure if it's any different.

FYI...I did ask Xantrex at the same time as I posted here and they were quick to respond. The reason I posted here ia because of the trash talk about Xantrex and their lack of support. I was very impressed that they responded so fast.

Their response....Dear Sir,
Please kindly note that  part number #808-0231        BTS for Trucharge20+ (2786 Ohms )

But  part number #808-0232-01 ,BTS for Truecharge2 40 amp  (10k Ohms)

BTS  is not the same , you would need to replace the BTS
If you would need more information or have more questions , please feel free to call us at 800-670-0707  option one or option two to speak with Xantrex Technical Agnet .

Thank you
