Memorial Day Cruiser Race

For 22 years CBYC & DPYC have jointly sponsored an "Around Catalina" Race on Memorial Day Weekend.  We have about 50 boats participating in this 75 mile PHRF event.  It starts in San Pedro, around Catalina and ends in Dana Point.

Recent years has the Cruiser Class  growing and they only travel the 34 miles direct to Dana Point.  This is an ideal afternoon cruise/race for Cat34's. with slips available for most boats.  

With a new perpetual trophy for the first Catalina Yacht to finish (handicapped),it would be a fine time for the Southern California Cat34s to show their colors.  Cruiser races with appropriate handicapping for props, non-spin, 135 genoas will make this a fun event.  

I'd like to hear from all the Catalina owners that might be interested and would entertain suggestions from possible entrants.
