Lucite Panel for Shelves in Cabin

I put Lexan in a copper mirror color as replacement panels (see bad pics below) ...now I think it's too dark even tho it reflects light.
I really like to wood you guys did but think next time I would go for Cream color to match the interior gel coat for a lighter look and easier to keep clean looking.
