The forward hatch leaks due to deterioration of the dog seals.  I've looked on-line at Bomar sites but cannot seem to match the exact hatch I have on my 1988.  Therefore, I've been reluctant to buy the replacement dogs shown on various web-sites.

I've looked all over the hatch and cannot find a model number to save my life.  Also, the parts list on-line here does not provide enough detail.

Anybody replaced the dogs (or seals)?

Thanks

Steve,

I have/had the same problem you are experiencing. I have been unable to find
an exact replacement for the dogs.

I have replaced the "O" rings and have purchased some dogs and used the outside
portion that is shaped much like a mushroom.

My forward, main cabin and head hatch are all the same. Check your main cabin hatch
for the model number mine is readable, If needed I can get for you in the next few days.

Steve,

P.S. I am at Shipwright

Thanks for the quick reply.   I guess I can just start buying various size o-rings and try them out.

Ace Hardware is a good source for O rings, Ace Hardware, my favorite boating store - the prices are "righter!"   :D
