Main Message Board / Re: Windlass foot switch and relay

Ahoy Roland: My 1999 C34 Windlass has a 135 amp circuit breaker switch located under the chart table. I had to replace the CB switch in 2011 which was a straight forward DIY task.

Hi Mike; |We have a Mac-Pac on our 1999 C34. Works well most of the time. Able to zip/unzip from the cockpit using the endless loop arrangement. Some times have to go up on cabin top to stow/tuck head section of mainsail into the Mac-Pac.

Ron, You may want to check out Lockview Marina (www.lockviewmarina.com) who are based in upstate New York. I used them in 2007 to transport a sail boat from Florida to Eastport Maine and was very satisfied with their service.

Brian; Not sure of the '88 holding tank setup but if the the top of the tank is accessible now may be the time to install a 4"-5" inspection hatch or at least a 1.5"  female socket with a secure screwed plug that you can insert a pump intake hose through to empty the tank and visually confirm that it is completely emptied.
Good luck!

Have seen many 34's (including ours) where the GPS Unit is mounted below the Nav Pod thereby leaving the pedestal "grip bar" clear. Frank

Bob; I noticed the same white powder build up on my steering quad. No stiffening in steering. Will be interested to see the postings from others. Frank

Impressive! I also expect that Catalina's marketing department would find it interesting!

Thank you Peggy for the Turncouple product link. It appears to be an effective solution for maintaining/repairing/modifying marine waste & water hose/equipment connections. I will follow up with the Vermont contact.
Also would be very interested in hearing from others who have used any of the Turncouple products.
