replacing banding straps on water tank

I removed my aft water tank as the first step of installing a rudder position sensor to improve my autopilot performance.  It was held in place with banding straps.  The kind that's used on packages and shipping pallets.  I cut them off to remove the tank.  Now I need to replace the straps or use something else.  Before I go out and buy a 100 year supply of strap and rent the tools I want to get some ideas what others have done. 
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Jim,
HD has ratcheting webbing straps to use as tie-downs.  You can buy a set of 4 or so for under $20.
