Shamrock has scratches in the boot stripe from the previous boat yard's lifting slings.  The are not very deep, but they do show white through the dark blue.  Think that I have 2 choices.  Matching the color and paint with an artist brush.  Or, a gel coat scratch kit, the kind you mix the color to the fill material.  Because lot of the fixes I've seen are just as noticeable as the scratches I'm asking for suggestions.

You might try calling CTY to see if you can obtain the "color name" of the boot stripe, and then Spectrum Color to see if they have a match kit.  Spectrum carries gel patch kits -- typically for the hull color -- but it's worth a few phone calls as one option.

A "good" color match w/ gelcoat will be your best bet, but a bad match will show badly.

Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the tradewinds in your sails.
