Good morning...
I have searched the data base and gone thru both manuals but I cant seem to find what the procedure is to flush out and replace the anti-freeze. I know its in there somewhere, I would appreciate if someone could send me the link..
Thanks
Ron

RonE : There have been numerious posts on this topic w/pictures.

Simply, you can drain the internal antifreeze out thru the petcock on the starboard side of the engine (just under the injection pump) or you can drain it out from the hose outlet from the internal water pump.

Either way, don't dorget to "burp" the water heater system after the change.

Please, don't do that.  Petcocks on engines are notorious for getting clogged - and once opened hard to close because of their small orifices.  The "101" topics has a link to BURPING your engine, getting most of the coolant out from just below the pump.

Petcocks on engines as old as ours are questionable, at best.  More importantly, they are in just about the WORST place to try to remove fluids, as well as trying to do so without slopping the liquids on the engine block.

Why?  'Cuz the engines were designed for tractors, where you could actually work right on the side of the motors.

Ever try to do that on YOUR engine?   :D :D :D

Thanks Ron and Stu...
thanks for the link

RonE : If you use an anti freeze with a rust inhibitor and have a coolant recovery system (to eliminate any air/oxygen in the cooling system) -- you should never have anything in that fluid to "clog" a petcock!!
