Napa Fuel Pump

After reading all of the problems with the fuel pump, I thought it my be a good idea to carry a spare.  Went to Napa today and they still have the pump 610-1051, cost today about $50.  It comes with an in line filter.  Do you need this filter?

Paul : I believe that the 1015 pump is the square rather than the round one??  

If it is the square one it may have a "screw-in" cylinder filter for the inlet -it is a course filter and is not needed and can be unscrewed.  Just make sure your pump is on the engine side of the Racor filter.

Thanks,  Yes my pump is on the engine side.  Giving me no trouble. It did not look square but I will go back and also check the 601-1074 mentioned in the notes.
