Apparently Good Old Boat magazine will have a writeup on the C34 in their September edition.  Does anyone know whose boat they used for the review?

(I consider my boat to only be "teenaged"; not "old")

Just picked up the copy of Good Old Boat from the bookstore featuring the Catalina 34. :thumb:
The boat featured belongs to Bob Barclay and is sailed on Mark Twain lake in Missouri.  "Wind Dancer" is the the name and it appears that it was previously owned by someone on the Great Lakes in Illinois.
The article is complimentary (how could it be otherwise) about the C34 characteristics.  Some of the less favorable observations stem from known issues to most of us here.  All in all a very nice read and one that illustrates both the strengths and weaknesses of the boat we all love. 8)
The sail, the play of its pulse so like our own lives: so thin and yet so full of life, so noiseless when it labors hardest, so noisy and impatient when least effective.
