Chain plates

The buyershad the boat surveyed and he stated that the area around the chain plates have a small amount of moisture.... what can be done

Kev, one of the basic preventive maintenance items is to rebed the chainplates.  It's a pretty simple, if time consuming, bit of effort.  There's a good description of how to in the Tech wiki.  Until you open it up, you simply won't know what's there.  Moisture meters in the hand of the unskilled can cause all sorts of grief that may be unwarranted.   Seems like the train's left the station regarding the potential buyers.  Check what you have and fix it.  You could always go back to the potentials...

kev : As I've mentioned before, always be on the boat when ANYONE else inspects it. 

Whether it be for insurance or resale.  Not to put up a fight, but to just observe.   My thought
