Clogged Sink Drain on MkII

Guys : As Peggy says using a plunger on a marine head will push down and out OK (the pump handle will also shoot up), but when you pull up on the plunger it will turn your joker valve inside out. 
Then you be taking apart the output of the head and dealing with fixing the joker valve!!  A thought
