stuck dining table

my dining table will not go down to make the birth.
how is it suppose to work?

You're not alone Ed!  I've had the same issues!

Also, since you have an 1988 model (Not that it really matters), can you add your sail number to your signature?  Seems like there's a lot 88's on here...

Our PO must have gotten tired of dealing with the spring post. Ours just has a solid tube that pulls out of the table socket and the floor socket and then you just store the tube under the table..
We had this same arrangement in the RV we used to have. Maybe that's where he got the idea.

Works fine, lasts a long time.
