I guess I'll have to wait until I can find someone to go up the mast for me to find out about the anchor lght. Someone sugested I offer a case of beer, well I'll go one better. I have a bottle of Callwood Spiced Rum from Tortola BVI. If your near San Diego, stop by and visit.
As for the foot pump, I've decided I really don't need to pump salt water so I've abandoned putting in the footpump that sticks through the cabinet and have installed the one inside the drop down door and connected it so that it pumps the ice box water out through the spout at the sink. That way I don't have to worry about a through hull connection.

I changed the subject of your original post, since the subject changed during the course of the thread.

I think you are happy about your decision, but you may, in future, want to reconsider not having the foot pump for the saltwater.  We wish we had one, since our PO didn't want the extra through hull either.  But I really miss the ability to pump seawater into the sinks and save on the freshwater.

Of course, as I've said before, it all depends on how you use your boat.  If you're close to fresh water all the time, it's not an issue, but if you're out there for a bit, you'd be wanting to minimize the use of the water in the freshwater tanks.

Since you still have the through hull, I recommend that you connect a hose to it, double clamp it, and run it above the waterline, with a plug in the end.
