replacing rub rails

The rub rails on my boat took quite a beating during Katrina. The metal is bent in several places so I don't believe it will be possible to reinsert the rubber. It doesn"t appear to be a very difficult job to totally replace them, unless there is something there that I am missing.  Bending the piece around the bow could be rather tricky.  Also, I assume there is some type of backing material that the many screws are inserted into.  If anyone has experience in this endeavor I would greatly appreciate a heads up on it.Hull no. 1340

Ed : You need to call the factory and order the Aluminum holder and the vinyl strip. 
I believe that the holder is held in by nut and bolts.  The real problem maybe if one bolt was installed too close to a bulkhead it may be a BEAR to remove.  Then you'll have the problem of holes, but I'm sure you can handle that. 
To make the acute bend in the bow you'll need something rigid to put in the holder or the lip edges will collapse.  Ask the factory.
