Spinaker sock (snuffer)

I recently purchased #980 and was happy to find a cruising spinaker in inventory(no pole or mount on mast). The sail looks original and unused.  I had a hard day raising/lowering it without a sock/snuffer. Are there any suggestions on finding an inexpensive one or does anyone have one they don't want/need and wish to sell? Are there any tips on raising without the sock?

Get a Sock!  It's the only way to deal with one of those beasts.  Boat/US, Defender, etc. all sell them, or you can call your local sailmaker.  They're a little less than 200 dollars.  That may seem a bit pricey, but you'll get a lot more use from your spinnaker if you have one.
