Some of the lag bolts that hold the motor mounts to the engine bed
are stripped.  Has anyone dealt with this?  What is the fix?  Any
suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated.

Larry : I'll guess that 99 out of 100 of us have had that problem! - to some degree.  The lag bolts are OK, it's the stripped threads in the holes that need to be fixed.
The solution I recommend is 2 step:
1. Get some longer(1/2") lag bolts. If you get them too much longer you won't be able to screw them in!!
2. Paint the inside of the lag bolt screw holes with some epoxy and let it cure.  Then insert the longer bolts and screw them down.  Do NOT fill the holes with epoxy or you'll be lifting the engine to redrill the holes!!!

Ron:
The engine is out of the boat at this time, getting a main seal replaced.
Does that make any difference in your suggestions?

Fuzz: Not really, because with out the mounts do you really know how deep to drill the holes if you filled them??
Painting the sides with epoxy will help the lag bolts to grip.  That extra 1/2" LENGTH WILL REALLY HELP.
