Bay area trip

My wife and I will be in the Bay area, visiting our daughter, between Xmas & New Years. We would love to mosey(sp?) down to any of the Bay marinas ( Sausalito, Alameda, Oakland, SF) to connect some faces to the screen names. Is there any organized activity during this time period?. In the past we have rented small boats form Cass Marina in Sausalito & depending on weather will probably do the same.
