Leaky opening port

I have a leaky  opening port in my forward cabin on the port side.  It appears to leak between the frame and the fiberglass when on a stbd tack and water is on the deck.  My boat is a 1996 MkII hull #1321.  Any hints on removing and resealing would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your leak is different from mine. Here's my 2 cents worth anyway. My leaks were solved by replacing the o-rings in the latches. If you want to try to replace your o-rings, I'll be glad to help. This was discussed on a previous thread.

Mike : Don't know about the newer Lewmar side opening ports, but I believe they are installed like the older ones.  
There is compression between the outer oval ring and the inner side.  Remove the inside trim ring and tighten the screws sequentially and see if that doesn't help.  If not you'll have to remove the outer ring, re caulk and reinstall.  Good luck.
