Outboard track

My boat does not have an outboard track and would like to install one . Do I need a curved track or will a straight track take the curve as it is installed. Has anyone had the experience of installing one?

I installed a track on my Cat30 some years ago and a straight track went on very well by starting at one end and bending it on the other.  I progressively added  holding screws as I went along by using the length of the track as leverage to bend it.
