does anyone know the specifications of a propellor and shaft for a catalina 34II?

I replaced my 3 blade Michigan Sailor with a 3 blade Campbell sailor  Much better performance underway, backing and undersail.  A friend wanted a feathering, he chose the Kiwi, feathering with composite blades for about half the price of an all metal feathering model.  He hasn't had the boat in the water for a test yet, Hurricane Isabel cut his season short.  Lots of choices, if your reproping do some homework before you decide to buy.

Hi,  What's the difference between the Michigan and the Campbell props?   Pitch/Dia ?

I have a 15 x 9 on my boat and it pushes me along at 7.5 knots in smooth water.  It is really great from a powering standpoint but 40 pounds of drag at 6 knots when I'm sailing is more than I can stand (as an old racer).  I'm going to replace it with a ? three blade folding/feathering once I decide which one I want (read afford).  As I mentioned earlier, a stainless prop on my bronze shaft doesn't sound like a good solution.

the Campbell uses a narrow blade with a more aerodynamic shape to provide the thrust and reduce prop walk.  The narrow blade also reduces drag when sailing.  More information can be found at
