Hello, I would like to learn more about using friction rings at the base of columns before proceeding. Does anyone have experience using it? Thank

I use an Antal low friction ring with a Dyneema loop for my preventer, and on my outboard lift harness. What columns are you referring to?

Ron, see Jon's comment above.  Antal makes a large number of choices.

Guys : Guess that I just prefer a cam cleat and a straight pull!!

Ron— these are not cleats. They are meant to take the place of a block, with no moving parts. The line just slides through a slippery metal ring. You still need a stopper or some sort of cleat on the bitter end. They come in many sizes and with, or without a dynema tether/soft shackle attached.
