Hey Craig,

Yes, Chins and AmpereTime and some others seem to actually all be the same company. I guess in reality all or at least most cells come from China. I haven't (or I can't recall) having checked the output of the Orion yet. I've had so many back to back projects on the boat that the sailing and testing stuff is taking a back seat. :(

I strongly considered getting the 2000 instead of the 3000 because it's far more compact (size appropriate for our C34's) but the price was pretty close on each and I couldn't resist the more is better mentality... :)  I also have an induction cooktop (single burner) but only as a backup to the propane we currently still use. The microwave is also a very useful thing on the boat.

My cables enter via a deck fitting, the Scanstrut DS-Multi Multi Deck Seal. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TMFGLS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
