Guys  : I too wanted another solar vent, but I put mine thru the deck between the mast and the top of the Vberth hatch.  Did that way back in the 1990s and wrote a Mainsheet tech note article w/pictures. 

Thought I'd like to circulate the air thur both the salon and the Vberth.

Another thought.
