Raw sea water enters the boat through a Thru hull fitting under the head sink. It goes through a strainer to the engine driven raw water pump. There are two manufactures of the raw water pump, Sherwood and Oberdorfer. The raw water pump pushes water through the heat exchanger and into the exhaust system to cool the antifreeze solution and the exhaust. Raw water leaves the boat mixed with the exhaust gases.
