The previous owner added a 12" wide teak shelf over the foot space of the aft berth along the bulkhead that runs fore and aft. The shelf is secured with 1" teak blocks with screws so that the shelf is removable to gain access to the systems behind these panels (steering cables, fuel tank, etc.)
