Since my wife and I are doing the North Channel passage of Canada this summer (real wilderness in some areas!), I decided we need to carry emergency diesel. I've seen a number of boats with "jerry" cans lashed to the life lines on deck... looks awful and I worry about fuel spilling into the cockpit. Removable Diesel Can Storage

Since my wife and I are doing the North Channel passage of Canada this summer (real wilderness in some areas!), I decided we need to carry emergency diesel. I've seen a number of boats with "jerry" cans lashed to the life lines on deck... looks awful and I worry about fuel spilling into the cockpit. The plans and pictures follow.
