Just a heads up.

I noticed considerable corrosion on the Gooseneck Bolt - will change it out today if I can get the new bolt.

This is the largest image I could upload else I get "Your file is too large. The maximum attachment size allowed is 512 KB."

Not sure if the resize / retain original is working.

Hmmm.... I'll retract, for obvious reasons, what I said below about the weight resting on both tabs.  D'oh on me. Brain is very slow today.

"Outside the box," there's nothing wrong with using two shorter bolts w/ nylock nuts.

The gooseneck should have been designed so that the spar weight rests on BOTH tabs, not just the bottom one.  D'oh.
If you don't have them already, put nylon or delrin washers between the tabs for wear surfaces.

I would also have made larger tabs/holes so that the axle runs on replaceable nylon or delrin sleeve bearings rather than s/s against s/s.  Double  Single D'oh.
