You don't mess around jury rigging exhausts.
Remove all the wrap and inspect it while running, if it's bad, replace the riser.

Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the tradewinds in your sails.

I didn't make myself clear. Exhaust is not leaking,it's the intake pipe on top of muffler.Must have caused crack putting hose on.

ohhhhhh!  There's also an article on the techwiki from Mark Hamilton who did a complete overhaul of his Aqualift.  A first classs job. It's difficult to just repair a crack on the tube. On mine, I had a pc of aluminum tubing that just happended to be a press fit in the ID of the tube.

Tapped it in and no more crush worries.  They sell reinforcing sleeves for that -- I think Centek has them or HPS Silicone Hoses may.  Or tubing from McMaster.

Lucky : I hope you are!!  You can patch an auto exhaust system if you want as it's outside the auto, but I remind you that the boats exhaust system is inside with you and your passengers!!

Thanks, its the inlet connection on muffler, not exhaust, very good advice though some people use JB weld on exhaust.

Lucky!!!

The inlet tube IS EXHAUST.  Engine exhaust!!!
The function of the muffler is to cool the exhaust gas (with injected water) and lift the mixture out of the boat.  AquaLIFT.  MAKE SURE you aren't leaking exhaust gas. Carbon monoxide can ruin your day.
