I need to replace my spreader boots on my 34 Catalina.  Does anyone know the width of the spreaders at their ends where the boots go?  I only want to make one trip up the mast instead of two.  Up to measure, then up again to install.

Thanks in advance.

Paul,

I can't help with spreader measurement, but I used the large size spreader boots from Taylor Made last month.

Paul : Use some light nylon line to whip around the ends.  Then use some liquid "Rope Whip" to seal the nylon line's knot and cut ends.

Here's an alternative I have used on large dia spreaders.
