Original Air Filter - M25
« on: November 17, 2016, 08:46:31 AM »

We just took off the original "oil can" type intake.  Before I toss it does anyone want it?  You pay only shipping.

What did you replace it with?  I am looking at the K&N RU-2450, thoughts?

We used the k&n R1080

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00062YNHS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The RC 2540 was too tall.

Per your other note It was not difficult. I chose a K&N which fit vertically and the diameter of the intake pipe.

I used a nylon "L" shaped barbed fitting. Drilled a hole in the top of the filter, screwed in the barbed fitting and connected the hose.   This can be found at Home Depot or a hardware store.

I ended up using the K&N RU-2450, pictures of the installed filter are attached.
