Hi all,
My boat still has what seems to be the original Hood Roller Furling 900. Not sure if it had the drum upgrade? It has a single furling line. Anyway, the centering clamp is missing, and I don't know where to get one. Does anyone still stock parts for these? Also, it appears that it clamps around the lower threads on the forestay turnbuckle - is that correct? I have read several of the threads on this site, but am still not clear. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi,

Yes you can order parts from
https://www.pompanette.com/

603-826-5791

They have the spare parts and good service.

Just ordered the inner sleeve for the halyard assembly.

I received the centering clamp, but am a little confused about how large a hole to drill in the center. I realize that it will be clamped around the head stay turnbuckle threads. I assume the hole should be somewhat smaller than the diameter of the threaded part of the turnbuckle. Anyone know the correct sizing? Thanks.

I measured the head stay turnbuckle bolt. It appears to be 9/16". Thanks

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got the drilling info from the rep at Pompanette. They said to put 2 dimes in between the two halves of the centering rings, and then drill to the same diameter as the turnbuckle threaded rod. That leaves some room for compression around the threaded rod/bolt of the turnbuckle.
