We have a 1987 MKI, does anybody know the GPM rating on the fresh water pump??  I'm guessing its 1.1 GPH, we don't have a shower so it's just the two sinks.

Thanks, and fair winds,

Hi Ralph

Although not exactly the answer or the same pump it looks like the Shurflo pumps being used for replacement are rated at 3 GPM.  I would think that even the older pumps are close to that.

Roc, Kevin's got the right idea.  WM and Shruflo rate their pumps based on the number of faucets and the smallest pumps are pretty much 3 gpm.  You won't go wrong with a 3 or 4 gpm unit, rare will you have the stern shower, galley sink and head shower running at the same time, right?

Quick update on this, I found the same pump at Amazon.com for $87.00.

Put the new pump in this weekend, uses the same hose fittings as the old and two of the four screws that hold it down matched up, so it was a snap.  The old pump manufacture date of 8/86 was listed at 2.8 GPM so the new 3 GPM is about the same.  I figure in 27 years I'll do it again, but move up to the 4GPM pump.
